Studying in Canada as an international student can be exceptionally expensive.
Read the post below for a list of student circumstances that could potentially exempt you from paying international fees.

All information posted is taken from the McGill Legal Documents website.
International Fee Exemptions
In accordance with the regulations prescribed by the Quebec Ministry of Education, there are nine categories of exemption from international tuition fees. A complete list of the guidelines and regulations can be found on the Ministry website in the document Politique Relative aux Droits de Scolarité Exigés des Étudiants Étrangers par les Universités du Québec. The deadline for the submission of claims is the last day of classes in each term. Claims will only be considered for the semester in which the complete documentation is received.

Note: normally, Special and Visiting students are not entitled to the international fee exemption; citizens of France however are eligible to be billed at the Canadian rate of tuition.

For further information on tuition and fees, please visit the Student Accounts website.

The following are the nine categories for International students wishing to qualify for a fee exemption and the supporting documents they must provide.
